Wallpaper FAQs
The minimum order for all wallpapers is 1000cm.
Our wallpaper is 46.5cm wide and there are four different roll sizes available:, 200cm, 250cm, 300cm and a standard 10m roll (1000cm).
We recommend if possible to order our paper in the smaller roll sizes as this will save on unnecessary wastage and make your wallpaper order very easy to hang.
The smaller roll sizes will allow for you to hang the paper without needing to match the repeat form the standard 10m roll size, as each roll will represent a panel design ready for installation, and designed to fit a standard wall height.
How many rolls of wallpaper will I need to order ?
Measure the height and width of your wall in centimetres.
The height will represent the roll length you need (make sure you choose a roll lenght of equal or greater value). Divide the wall width by the wallpaper width (46.5cm) to work out how many rolls you need to order.
For example, if your wall is 240 cm high by 180 cm wide:
180 / 46.5 = 3.87
Therefore you need to order 4 rolls of the 250cm roll length.
Installing our wallpapers
Our wallpaper is very easy and quick to install. Apply the paste directly to the wall.Follow these instructions for a great result:
1. Prepare the wall by removing any old wallpaper and oil based paints, then dust and wash the surface of the wall. Make sure it is smooth, even and clear of any holes or cracks.
2. Prime the walls with a primer sealer.
3. Starting in one of the corners, mark with a pencil line where your first panel needs to be positioned using a plumb-line ruler. Your first panel will determine the overall appearance of your wallpapered area so take your time getting this as straight as possible.
4. Prepare your paste and make sure it’s not too runny — it should have a creamy consistency. Apply the paste directly to the wall where you will be hanging your first panel. Spread the paste evenly and allow an extra 20cm into the next panel area, to avoid accidentally covering the already hung wallpaper with paste.
5. Hang your first panel using the plumb-line you drew earlier as a guide. Hang the wallpaper from the ceiling down allowing a 5 cm bleed at the top. Remove any air bubbles by stroking them from the centre outwards with a brush or rubber roller. Trim access paper at the top and bottom using a sharp knife.
Should the wallpaper panel be positioned wrongly it has to be taken off very carefully. Make sure to check the paste and if it’s dried, apply more.
7. The recommended room temperature for drying of your wallpaper is approx 18-20 celsius. If your room is to hot then your wallpaper might dry too quickly which can cause separation of the edges.
